Full-Fledged Investigation

Full-Fledged Investigation

Dear Editor;

In response to last week's letter regarding the pathetic situation at P.S.114 and the group of parent Mafia running amuck. I hope that now we may get the attention of the new principal, the Superintendent and hopefully even the Mayor himself to do a full-fledged investigation into the actions of this group of aptly named parent bullies.

I strongly suggest to each and every one of these parents to consider the consequences of their actions. What example are they setting for their children? What ethics or morals can they expect them to have?

It seems to me as a working mother that balances childcare, homework, after school activities, cooking, cleaning AND a full-time job that perhaps these parents have too much free time on their hands. How about redirecting all that negative energy away from intimidating and hounding our teachers and hanging out in hallways and classrooms where you're not welcome? There are plenty of organizations on our peninsula that could use volunteers.

One would hope that in light of the tragedies we've all lived through recently, you would realize that the world does not revolve around you and your precious offspring. Shame on you all for assuming that because of a connection with someone on the School Board you're entitled to preferential treatment. What makes your children so exceptional? What makes your child more important then anyone else's?

I close in again requesting an investigation  into the charges brought against that innocent teacher, the switching of classes for certain students year after year, the freedom for some to wander around the school building, to have access to privileged information, and to speak as long as they choose to on an almost daily basis to their children's teachers.
