Titus Top Choice For Dems

This week, the Queens County Democratic Organization, in the 31st Assembly District, picked Michele Titus as the designated candidate to run for the seat of the late Assemblywoman Pauline Rhodd-Cummings.

"Titus, one of four district leaders in the area, took part in a meeting this passed Tuesday night, and it was then that she made the decision to enter the race officially," according to Juanita Watkins, who is one of the district leaders.

Titus, an attorney with the New York City Board of Education, has stated that children and education will be the main focus of her candidacy.

"My motto is ‘Children First’," said the candidate.
