Soldiers Complete Training
Army Private Nicole C. Roberts has graduated from the automated logistical specialist advanced individual training (AIT) course at Fort Lee, Petersburg, Virginia. Roberts is the daughter of Marcia A. Leung and niece of Clive Patterson of Far Rockaway, N.Y.
Roberts was trained to establish and maintain stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and support records, automated and manual accounting records; review and verify bills of lading, contracts and purchase orders; repair and construct shipping crates for equipment and supplies; and perform prescribed loads and shop stock lists in manual and automated supply applications.
Army National Guard Private Tamika A. Smith has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. Smith’s parents are Ronald and Priscilla Smith of Far Rockaway, N.Y.
During the nine weeks of training, Smith received instruction and practice in drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, amp reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, physical fitness, basic first aid, and Army values, principles, and traditions.
Smith is a 1996 graduate of Beach Channel High School, Rockaway Park, N.Y.
