They're Not Laughing Anymore

Hey people! I want to start by saying how much I appreciate the emails of support I received last week regarding the column "You've Been Bushwhacked!" A majority of the emails were extremely nasty in tone and came from two specific areas within the peninsula, but I'm not going to go any further than that.

I don't mind if people disagree with me or question my patriotism, as long as they do so in a respectable and sensible manner. To say things like, "If you don't support the war effort, then go back to Africa"; or "You and your family are a bunch of Communists coons"; or "You're a no good house boy" is taking it to a personal level, and I have a problem with that.

Some people actually had the audacity to send me repeated emails, as though I didn't get their stupid, hate-induced message the first time. They tried to be as vicious as possible in attacking me and my right to question the Bush administration. Well, excuse the hell out of me if my college education provided me with the gift of free thought. My late brother used to say, "There are two types of people in the world, sheep herders and sheep. The herders lead and sheep follow." The G-man does not do "sheep" very well, if at all. I hope that came out right.

I make no apologies for the column I wrote, and to those who tried to hurt me by being blatantly malicious and hateful, you can "kma" with orange slices in the middle! A white man looked me in my face, when I was a little boy growing up in North Carolina, and called me a nigger. After that experience, anything said by some sheep-minded sicko, in effort to hurt me, is insignificant. Simply put, you didn't succeed in your mission to break me down…you jackasses!

I'm going to prove that The G-man is a man of class and distinction by saying that I firmly believe that the nastiness expressed in these emails do not reflect the sentiments of all residents from these sectors of the peninsula. These derelicts are not the Liz Sulik's, Joani Ward George's or John Lepore's of the community, all of whom are decent and respectable, even if they disagree with something I write. So, I refuse to paint a racist portrait of those areas and their inhabitants.

Now that I've gotten that off me chest, let's move on to kick the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) in the ass.

I wrote a column shortly after the crash of Flight 587 entitled "The Mystery of Flight 587", where, yet again, I came under attack for questioning the Bush administration, the federal government and the airline industry about the possibility of a cover-up. I made mention of my interviews with eyewitnesses, who were extremely credible in their own right. Some of them were even willing to give a sworn statement, but the NTSB, FAA or other agencies did not want to be bothered. It was only recently that they did an about face, and now these same agencies want to have statements by all eyewitnesses on record. I'm not saying they had a change of heart because of my column or investigative reporting by Howie or me. I'm just saying.

At the time, I was ridiculed and many indicated that they were having a good laugh at my conspiracy theories. Now comes a new revelation about the crash of Flight 587, and trust me folks, people are not laughing now.

Shortly after the crash, there were reports that fuel was dumped in Jamaica Bay to lighten the load for an attempted emergency landing. After speaking to a pilot for TWA, who wants to remain anonymous, I found out that the Airbus 300 does not have the capability to dump fuel! Ah, the plot thickens. Correct me if I'm wrong dear reader, but didn't FAA officials, the NTSB and even Governor Pataki state that fuel was dumped in Jamaica Bay when they spoke at separate news conferences? Wait a minute, what's that I smell? Oh, yeah, it's "B.S." Why would they say such a thing if it was never true? That's a stupid question. I forget we're dealing with government and its agencies. Somebody slap me…. please!

Someone has some explaining to do, and as far as I'm concerned, this latest faux pas, combined with taped footage of Flight 587 that the public has not been allowed to see, could serve as the turning point in this investigation. I had the "huevos" to stand up and question the "facts" about the crash months ago, and I'm asking even more questions now.

One way or another, the truth is going to come out about this disaster. The ghosts of all those on board the ill-fated flight will see to that. I hope it's not the case, but heaven help those who did have some part in lying and covering up the truth from the relatives and the country.
