Steven Dixon
Maintenance Worker

Steven Dixon, born in Rockaway Beach, was a lifelong resident of the Rockaway community. He passed away on February 13, 2002 at the age of 45.

He is survived by his mother, Annie Dixon and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment under the direction of Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, Inc. was held at Evergreen Cemetery.

Dorothy Anna Hackett
Factory Worker

Dorothy Anna Hackett, born in Astoria, was a five year resident of Far Rockaway. She passed away on February 17, 2002.

She is survived by her husband Edward Hackett; her sister, Helen Erdman; and her brothers Mike and Edward.

Funeral arrangements were held under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc.

Carmela Magrini
Embroidery Worker

Carmela Magrini, born in Brooklyn, was a 15 year resident of the Rockaway community. She passed away on February 21, 2002 in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Carmela worked in the garment industry as an embroidery worker. She attended St. Camillus Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick Magrini.

She is survived by her son Dominick and daughter-in-law Mary Anne Magrini; her grand-daughter Darlene Magrini; her grandson Dominick Magrini and has two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home on February 24 from 2- 5 and 7- 10 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held on February 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Camillus Church.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park on February 25, 2002.

John A. Rieger
U.S. Navy Veteran

John A. Rieger, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was a 45 year resident of the Rockaway community. He passed away on February 15, 2002.

John was a member of the United States Navy and served in World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Marie (Nee Kulikowski) Rieger; his daughter Marie Reisman; his sisters Helen Mudrey and Theresa Eden; and he has one grandchild.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. was held at Westiminister Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
