Addabbo Creates FAA Panel

Addabbo Creates FAA Panel

Concern about his Rockaway constituents living under the JFK Airport flight paths has led City Councilman Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. to announce today that he will be shortly creating an FAA Advisory Panel.

Addabbo said he is forming the panel along with tenant, civic and block association representatives on the Rockaway peninsula.

The councilman said the FAA Advisory Panel would be meeting monthly with the FAA to keep an open dialogue regarding the flight paths. "We want to make sure the FAA is following the flight path they described to the Rockaway residents," Addabbo stated.

Councilman Addabbo said that the panel would be working in conjunction with Congressman Anthony Weiner’s office and that its purpose would be to bring people and groups together for the benefit of the entire Rockaway community.
