Rockaway Children’s Fund Says Thanks

The Rockaway’s Children’s Fund, which raised money over the holiday season for those children impacted by the World Trade Center attack as well as those affected by the crash of flight 587, wishes to thank those companies and organizations that made the fund drive a success.

"We want to thank those who participated in and who supported our efforts this season," the fund’s coordinator says. "We sincerely appreciate the fact that so many took the time from busy holiday schedules to assist in raising funds and helping with activities at the "Little North Pole."

Among those who the organization wishes to thank are the residents of the Rockaways, the Chamber of Commerce, FDNY, The Wave, the good-spirited residents of Beach 145 Street, Madelaine Chocolate, Not Just Chicken, Plum Tomatoes, Parkway Refrigeration, Cappezzano Roofing, Kristen Diffendale, Patrick and Linda Cea, Michael McDonald, Students from PS 114, students from St. Francis de Sales, Pips Comedy Club, Anthony Primiano, The Beach Club, Beach Bagels, Kathy Maloney, Cristine Mastros, Apex Technical School, Police Officer Leonard O’Toole, El Caribe Catering, Mike Sullivan, Long Island Fireproof Door, Caiazzonn Brothers Plumbing and Rams Beverages.

The merchants who collected donations include Beach Bagels, The Children’s Closet, Video Waves, Belle Harbor Realty, Cross County Bank, Harbor Cleaner’s, East Meets West, The Beach Club, The Rockaway Sunset Diner, Georges Florist, The 99Cents store, Ciro’s Original Pizza, Irena’s Hair Salon, Ciro’s Pizza, The 29 Deli, Joe’s Barber Shop, Jamesons Pub, Sammy’s Variety, Waldbaum’s. Kings Pharmacy, Gift Is Love, Dragon’s Den and Brown’s Hardware.
