Cydaria (Cindy) Barnett
Former Rockaway Resident

Cindy Barnett, 47, born in Los Angeles, CA, was a resident of Rockaway during her youth. She died on January 15, 2002, after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband Bob Bunker; her mother, Bea Barnett; one brother, Bobby; four sisters, Ginger, Cathy, Donna, and Ida; and many nieces, nephews and several life long friends.

Minerva Torres Cintron
Housewife

Minerva Torres Cintron, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a resident of Rockaway for 33 years, passed away on January 22, 2002.

Minerva worshipped at St. Gertrude's Church, and was spent most of her life as a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband Steve Cintron Sr.; her mother, Dahlia Cruz Torres; her daughter, Lydia Cintron; her son, Steve Cintron Jr.; her brother Jose; her sisters, Luz-Dahlia and Julie; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home on January 25, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. will be held at Rosehill Cemetery.

Ingrid Lopez Corzo
Loved By Many

Ingrid Lopez Corzo, 33, of Far Rockaway, passed away on January 19, 2002. She was born in Guatemala, and moved to Rockaway 18 years ago.

She is survived by her husband, Elber, and a host of other family members and friends.

Interment under the direction of Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, Inc. was held at All Saints Cemetery, in Great Neck, NY.

Carole Josephine Lyman
Mother and Friend

Carole Josephine Lyman, born in Brooklyn on December 29, 1957, died on January 18, 2002. She was a resident of Rockaway for 40 years.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia Martinez; her sons, Joseph Burgos and Christopher Lyman; her brothers, Richard Lyman Jr. and John Lyman; her sisters, Rose-Ann Bryant, Esther Lyman-Ardito and Diane Lyman-Hussain.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church on January 26, at 10:00 a.m.

Robert Parker
Police Officer

Robert Parker, 58, born in Williston, South Carolina, was a resident of Rockaway for 23 years. He died on January 20, 2002.

Robert worked as a police officer and served in the United Stated Army.

He is survived by his brother, Elmer, and many friends and relatives.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, Inc.

Edda Nancy Quinones
Dearly Missed

Edda Nancy Quinones, 61, born in San German, Puerto Rico, was a resident of Rockaway for a quarter of a century. She died on January 13, 2002.

She is survived by her son, German; and her many other relatives and friends.

Eileen Reverand
Rockaway Point Resident

Eileen Reverand, resident of Rockaway Point for 50 years, passed away on January 23, 2002.

Eileen worshipped at St. Thomas More Church.

She was the beloved wife of the late David Allen, and the devoted mother to Claire Kircher, Jeanne Norman, Eileen Quinn, and Bernardine Whalen. She was also the loving grandmother of Kevin, Keith and Kerin Whalen, John, Patrick and Conor Norman, and Shaun and Allana Quinn.

Visitation will be held at Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home on January 25, from 2-5 and 7-10.

A special mass will be at St. Edmund's Church, in Rockaway Point, at 9:45 a.m. on January 26.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. will be held at ST. Johns Cemetery.

Ida Rivera
Loving Wife and Mother

Ida Rivera, 45, of Far Rockaway, passed away on January 21, 2002.

She is survived by her husband, Victor; her daughters Aida, Nilsa, and Victoria; her siblings, Victor, Israel, Iran, Wilson, Charlie, Manuel, Willie, Marta, Santa, Betty and Miriam; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Interment under the direction of Lawrence Funeral Chapel was held at St. Charles Cemetery, in Pine Lawn, NY.

Wanda Lee Scott
Beloved Mother

Wanda Lee Scott, 34, passed away on December 29, 2001.

She is survived by her mother, Deidre; her stepfather, James; her father, Warren; her son James; her fiancé, Daniel; and many other relatives and friends.
