The opportunity for governmental groups, public agencies, and non-profit health, educational and select other groups to obtain low cost equipment was announced today by State Senator Malcolm Smith.

"The Federal Surplus Assistance Program has thousands of items available to offer to qualifying groups. Vehicles, office machines, furniture, hardware, medical devices, and communications equipment are available to help organizations in serving the community" said Senator Smith.

The program distributes property values at more than 28 million dollars each year. The property was federal government surplus, which is available for donation, with a service charge for the donating agency.

Visit the program’s web page at http://ogs.state.ny.us./fedsurplus/default.asp. to lean more about the program and complete a registration form.
