Dear Editor;

I sent you an email earlier regarding getting a credit for Time-Warner Cable outage during the week of the air crash. It turns out that the customer service representative I talked to was totally wrong, and I am mistaken as a result. She told me she issued a credit for that week but when I just checked my balance due, it was not deducted. I called Time-Warner again and was told this time that they do not issue credits for outages due to Acts of God or National Disasters. (Basically, if it took them three months to restore the service they would have still have charged us for three months of no service regardless).

Please do not advise people to call for the credit. I was totally flimflammed and my apologies for assuming that a monopoly would act with some responsibility to their customers. If people wish to complain about this reprehensible behavior they may contact the NY State Public Service Commission, 3 Empire Plaza - Albany, New York 12223. The phone number is (800) 342-3330.
