Dot on Roxbury

By Dotty Taphouse

The Christmas Party of the Breezy Point Golden Age was held on Tuesday, December 18th at the Silver Gull Club in Breezy Point.  It was very well attended.  The drinks and dinner were excellent.  Renee Lacey was in charge and with her helpers ran a great affair.

There were many, many beautiful poinsettia plants that were won later by happy winners.  I was one of the lucky ones.  The DJ was very good and Josephine McMonagle was the emcee in charge of local talent.

The first meeting of the Breezy Point Golden Age will be held on Tuesday, January 8th in St. Thomas More Hall in Rockaway Point.

I spent the holidays with friends and family and had a wonderful time.  The picture is of me with my great grandchildren:  from left to right, Breanna, Sarah, with Jessica is on my lap, Kyle then Brandonn.  In the walkers in front from left to right are Stephen and Justin.

A healthy and happy New Year to all!!!

Happy Birthday Howie Taphouse January 3.

Love ya DOT.
