Thinking About Something

Dear Editor;

What is happening to the millions of dollars collected for the families of the victims of the World Trade Center disaster? How is the money distributed?

Something new – New York City primarily Democratic, elected for the second time, a Republican Mayor – Giuliani and now Bloomberg. Is this a sign of whatever?

The Borough of Queens elected for the first time a Black Borough President Helen Marshall. Good luck – remember the Rockaways.

How about our New York Yankees? Despite their 2001 World Series loss, they are still the greatest. There is always next year.

How about it Mike Bloomberg, as the next Mayor of New York City, put a plug in Governor Pataki’s ear, that casino gambling in the Rockaways would be a terrific deal. Not only would it bring in outstanding revenues, but the Rockaway peninsula has the space, every transportation available. Create much needed jobs and give life to a resort area. How about it Mike? This is a definite worthwhile cause.
