Good Vs. Evil

Good Vs. Evil

Dear Editor;

I would like to give my reaction to the terrible tragedy that has over taken us here in the United States. I first was incredulous, this country, the greatest country in the world was bombed by a few evildoers who hated us. We, the leaders of world action and helpers of all distressed people were found to be vulnerable, to be so seriously open to the working of evildoers that our very foundation was shaken and hurt. I know we believe in equality and freedom for all with our own safeguards against a crime of this sort shows that we must be on guard and alert to the criminals in the world who planned such terrible acts. We must believe that life is a fight against good and evil and we must ask for God’s help as the author of good, and rally to the good that is in all people. The work for good and not evil, such as the people of the United States where the majority rules and where the majority are on the side of good. The wonder of the rallying if the American people to fight the terrorists and to unite for the good of all of us in our mission of love and each other.

We are all sad in the finding of nearly 7,000 people who have been lost and 174 confirmed dead. We are with those who have lost their loved ones and want to help them in their hour of need. The firemen, policemen and all those who offered themselves in the recovery efforts are an example of the American sacrifice for the food of all and stand for loyalty in our time of need. I have never been so glad to be an American when I see the complete offerings of lives by the American citizens to help those who are victims of this terrible attack against America. We are all distressed and hurt, however, we still have to go on with our every day lives as best we can. The terrorists will see that we have been hurt but we are able to raise up with God’s help and give our country the patience and courage she needs at this time and everything will be okay because we are united and concerned in the American cause of standing behind our country in her hour of need.

Good is stronger than evil and love is stronger than hate and soon things will emerge triumphant as we always have in the past when we battle against evils that have tested us. America is the greatest country in the world and this tragedy does not change this. She is still strong and magnificent and is still an example of great work and strength and good to the entire world. I hope we do not have to go to war to achieve our victory over terrorism, but if we do I am 100 percent behind my country and will sacrifice anything I can in her fight.

Our leaders, namely our President, Mayor of New York, and the Congress all across the country deserve our grateful praise and love as they are doing a magnificent job in coping with this disaster. I stand behind them 100 percent.

I love my country very much and the love of my country has zoomed into heights of glowing patriotism that were not here before I was challenged by this terrible event. We are optimists and know that we will emerge triumphant from this tragedy and will help those in need in the world as we always have, being glad that we stand for something so wonderful, so great and so beautiful. We will spiritually, emotionally, financially and generously triumph over anything that stands in our way of being the victor of good over evil.

I want to remain anonymous so I will just say I am a female, American citizen who is a resident of Rockaway. I will close in saying God Bless America my home sweet home.
