The People's Voice

The People's Voice

Dear Editor;

As a resident of the Bayswater Community, I don't believe the concerns of the community should be so readily dismissed despite the arrogance of the State or Mental Health Agency to construct against the very outcry of our elected officials and the at-large community.

We live in a democracy that allows choices and the voice of the community be heard through our elected representatives. If the one man - one voice is either tampered or silent, then that defeats the very principle of our governing fibers. Therefore it's imperative this matter be resolved by our elected representatives.

For that matter, such an issue should not be construed a technical challenge to any of our elected representatives, because there are many inconceivable ways and means to bring this matter to closure, without the consent of the State or Mental Health Agency.

Should either the State or Mental Health Agency decide to move forward its agenda disregarding community outcry, then the voice of the people should be brought to the floor; then put to a vote.
