‘Tandy’ To Play BCHS This Thursday

‘Tandy’ To Play BCHS This Thursday

"Tandy" is coming to Beach Channel High School. The musical group, which describes itself as "Americana, folk-rock and country" artists, will perform at the high school on Thursday evening, November 8 at 7:30 p.m. The concert, which will last about one hour, is free.

The concert, which is part of the Carnegie Hall/Citigroup Neighborhood Concert Series, is being sponsored locally by The Rockaway Chamber of Commerce and the Rockaway Music and Arts Council.

The group features Mike Ferrio who does the group’s vocals and also plays the guitar and harmonica; Tom McCrum, who also does vocals and plays the drums; Drew Glackin, playing lap steel guitar and mandolin; Scott Yoder on bass; Sibel Firat on Cello and Peter Mattei on accordion.

The group has performed all over America, performing as the opening act for many well-known performers.

The concert series is in its 26th year and will present more than 80 concerts throughout the city this year.
