Trying To Make Sense

Trying To Make Sense

Dear Editor;

Ata time when New York and all of America are trying to make sense of the tragic events of September 11 we acknowledge the many heroes of the day. We rightfully shower the workers of the various agencies with accolades. They performed their duty without regard for their own safety, making the supreme sacrifice. There are other members of our communities not getting the recognition they deserve. It’s at times like this people question their faith and ask God how these things can happen. Needing guidance and searching for the strength to get through these difficult times more and more people are turning to their various religious institutions. The servants of our houses or worship help to renew our hope and faith. Through their compassion and wisdom we are able to find strength. Specifically I would like to pay homage to the clergy of St. Francis De Sales. Day in and day out they answer their "calling". They restore our faith and mend our broken hearts. Remember them, as well as all those suffering, in your prayers and thank God for their resolve.
