Sell T-Shirts To Replace BCVFD Ambulance

Activists in Broad Channel are selling patriotic T-Shirts to raise money for the Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department to allow them to purchase a new ambulance to replace the one they lost under the rubble of the World Trade Center collapse.

The shirts come in all sizes and sell for $10. All of the proceeds of the sale will go to the volies. The shirts can be purchased at The Wave offices on Beach 88 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard and by phone at 945-5694. The shirts will also be sold this Saturday, October 13, at the Park at 17th Road in Broad Channel from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The sale is being coordinated by Marlene Bregante and Jane Murray (pictured, Left to right). Marlene is also looking for other organizations and businesses to sell the T-Shirts, with the understanding that all of the proceeds go to the volies. Those interested should contact Marlene at the telephone number above.
