H.S. Football Teams Stay Undefeated

Beach Channel improved its record to 3-0 this year with a win over Boys and Girls High School (1-2). B.C. Dolphins RB Paul Washington was the offensive star by running for 136 yards on only 7 carries and scoring 3 Touchdowns. Washington scored the 3 touchdowns on runs of 26, 6, and 10 yards and also caught a 6-yard TD pass. On defense, Antaeus Reid had 6 team leading tackles. The Dolphins will next play on Saturday, October 06 at 11:00 AM against Christopher Columbus High School at the Far Rockaway home field.

Far Rockaway continues to roll on with a victory over Grand Street (1-2) to improve their record to 3-0. Seahorses RB Rashid Peterson ran for 120 yards and scored two TD’s on runs of 5 and 25 yards. The scoring started with Far Rock QB Aaron Pegues throwing a 60-yard touchdown pass to Marlon Rodriguez. The Defense was strong as Michael Toney and Jose Santana recorded 2 sacks each and the defense caused 4 fumbles from Grand Street. Far Rockaway will next play Saturday, October 06, 2001 at 12:00 PM @ Erasmus Hall.
