This letter was originally written to U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner.
Dear Representative Weiner:
Your response of 5 September 2001to my defense of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge is unsatisfactory.
How many bicyclists that you know of have been unable to reach the Refuge because of "poor access"?
In this time of bashing of all kinds of worthwhile people-benefiting programs, coupled with charity to billionaires and massive theft of Social Security monies, how dare you support the wilderness-road boondoggle for the benefit of your personal landlord?!!
The break-open//PERMANENT DESTRUCTION of portions of the few remaining acres set aside for struggling wildlife within New York City—and that is what is imminent—is rendered entirely unnecessary by the logical, near costless, superior Alternate Bicycle Plan submitted by me to Gateway misManagement (dedicated puppets of local real-estate manipulators) on 6 August 2000, a copy of which I’ll be please to present to you. Just call.
