St Thomas More Cross Country Season Begins
      The Fall 2001 CYO Cross Country Season opens on Sunday, September 30th at Alley Spring Park. The first CYO race will be a developmental meet. The races will begin at 12 pm with the senior boys and girls from the 8th and 9th grade having a 1-mile run. The junior boys and girls from the 6th and 7th grade will run a slightly shorter race. The novices will follow with a half-mile course. The bantams of the 4th and 5th grade, which will run a three-quarter mile loop, will complete the day.

Success At The Monahan Tournament
      This past Saturday, September 22nd was the 6th annual John J. Monahan Tournament in Broad Channel. All of the proceeds are going to the World Trade Center Disaster Family Fund. Thanks goes out to the BCAC President, Margaret Howard and all of the BCAC members for donating the proceeds to such a great cause. An outstanding amount of $3150.00 was raised for the families of victims in the World Trade Center disaster. The Roxbury

B.C. Shamrocks Roll Over Copaigue
     Broad Channel's midget football team improved to 2-0 with a 38-20 victory over Copaigue Saturday night. The Shamrocks flexed their offensive muscle by scoring six touchdowns. Led by the running and receiving of Seamus Kelly, the Shamrocks scored at will.
