An American Disgrace

An American Disgrace

Dear Editor:

During this tragedy, we as Americans have shown that we can come together and rise above this. If you look all around you see American flags and ribbons flying everywhere. I, too, wanted to show my respect for those who have died in this tragedy and those who have spent countless days and nights helping the victims, so I attached a flag to my car. To the person who stole the American flag off my car, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF! Even in the wake of this devastation you thought it necessary to commit a crime. Yes, there are more important things in life then a flag being stolen. It's what that flag represented that makes it a shameful act. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families and to all those giving of themselves in this time of need. We will rise above this. May God Bless America.
