Dot on Roxbury by Dotty Taphouse

The annual block party of St. Genevieve's church was held outside Father Hession Hall after the five o'clock mass on Saturday September 15th.  Joe Ferrandino was the chairman in charge and with the help of his wife Mary and friend June Cellantano plus the help of their chefs and helpers, live music by Backstreet Ricky and refreshments ran another enjoyable block party.
Despite the sadness of the World Trade disaster the communities of Breezy Point, Rockaway Point and
Roxbury joined in a candle light vigil on both Saturday and Sunday night.
All of our prayers and orations are needed for the deceased and missing persons.
On a happier note: Happy Birthday - Peter Geis 9/23, Danielle Dengler 9/15, Linda Paden 9/31.

Congratulations Eilleen and Larry Baumann on their 25th wedding anniversary 9/18.

Love ya, Dot
