Dorothy Dunne

As I sit in the middle of paradise here at Gamboa Rainforest Resort on top of the Panama Canal in Panama, my thoughts and prayers go out to those agonizing over the loss of their loved ones the recent WTC terrorist attacks.
For one week I have tried to no avail to reach relatives by phone. I finally got through today cousin Gladys Crowley who informed me the son of Nancy and Tom Mulligan is missing along with Kvin Dowdell. I also read in last weeks WAVE on the web that 75 persons are missing from Rockaway. By the time I get home on September 22, God knows how many more will be on that list. My deep condolences to the loved ones of those
missing thus far.
It will not be until September 22 that I will touch down on USA soil and face the reality and sadness of the tragic events of last week.
Though I can deeply empathize with the loss of loved ones, I cannot feel the pain of those who have been touched so personally.
My prayers are with you.
You will read more about my adventures in the beautiful Gamboa Resort on the Panama Canal as well as other properties along with the history of Panama in next week’s column.
