Support For Joe Addabbo

Support For Joe Addabbo

Dear Editor;

That's what I'll be doing on Tuesday, Sept. 11th. I am endorsing Joe
for all the right reasons. His education speaks for itself with both a law
degree and a degree in accounting.

One look at his resume in community affairs and you see he is not afraid to jump right in and get involved. Joe is both a gentleman and a loving husband who's wife Dawn is a compliment to both Joe and his campaign.

Joe's commitment to the Rockaways has been endless. Over the past ten
years, I have attended numerous meetings where Joe was in attendance on such important issues as Illegal SRO'S, ferry service, a pool in Riis Park, community relations with our local precinct etc, the list goes on.

Another thing that stands out about Joe is his working relationship
with all our elected officials such as Assemblywoman Pheffer, Congressman Weiner, and our Queens Borough President's office.

As I glance at the other candidates the choice is clear. While Chris
Jorge is a nice woman who has worked for the community, I think she would be better served as a member of our local school Board rather than the City Council.

As for Lew Simon, I question his educational background and also
would like to know which private school he teaches at as per the Voters
Guide. I've seen him in action and a bullhorn just won't cut it inside City
Hall. As an active member of the community, I've watched numerous hard working people such as Liz Sulik, Harold Rocheele, Joe Hardigan, Steve Greenberg, Mary Leahy etc, work endlessly for the neighborhood on countless problems only to see Lew take the credit. So when you enter that election booth on Tuesday, take everything into consideration and vote for Rockaway's number one candidate, Joseph Addabbo.

PALMER DOYLE
