Dot on Roxbury by Dotty Taphouse

The summer season is over and it was a great one with only a few really hot days.  We all enjoyed this years
Mardi Gras.  Saturday's children's parade was filled with pretty, original and comical individuals, floats and groups who were judged and the winners received prizes.  I marched with my great-grandchildren who were Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  Yours truly was the evil queen.  We won first prize as the prettiest and donate the prize money back to St Genieve's.  Sunday, the adult’s parade was held through the beach with the Gladiola Band as the leader, followed by the additional bands from the clubs.  In the parade on Sunday the members of the Mayor's Committee and Ladies Auxiliary were devils and I was in the group.  The weather couldn’t have been better and everyone had a good time.
