Get Your "Two Cents" In

Get Your "Two Cents" In

Dear Editor;

I witnessed the debate for City Councilman in Howard Beach Tuesday evening, and I must say it was quite entertaining! All four candidates sitting before us, in the hot and steamy church awaiting their turn patiently to discuss the issues, share their opinions, and give "us", the people a better look at the person in which we will bestow this important position upon.

I had not yet decided on the candidate in which I would vote for until I saw Lew Simon in action. With his "polyester suits" as he so humorously indicated, his extensive knowledge of the issues, and his track record, which we became more familiar with, speak for themselves. This is a man who will truly get the job done; he is a "no frills", down to earth, hard workingman. As many of us know from past experience Lew Simon takes action, doesn’t talk "action" or strategy he doesn’t take no for an answer. Our problems and concerns are his, and no "problem" is too big!

If we truly want change, this is the person you should vote for on September 11. So, my fellow neighbors September 11 is the day to get up, get out and place your vote. Anyone who is of legal age to vote should indeed exercise their "right". Don’t let September 11 pass by without getting your "two cents" in!
