I was pleased to see that you printed my letter regarding Duane Reade’s price gouging policies. However, the following sentence was left out: "When she asked how much this prescription would cost, she was told $380.00." This was one of the most important aspects of the story. Now, the rest of the letter does not make much sense because there is no reference to the price that Duane Reade quoted. Without this context, Belle Harbor pharmacy’s price does not mean anything to the reader and the point is not driven home. I don’t understand how any editor would omit such an important detail.
