Good Will and Good Commerce

Good Will and Good Commerce

There are three people from the Rockaway community who deserve a huge round of applause; Liz Sulik, President of the Rockaway Chamber of Commerce, John Lepore, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, and Harold Cornell, Chamber Advisor. What they have been able to accomplish so far this year is quite amazing. From the sponsoring of numerous concerts, special events and luncheons featuring all of the Mayoral candidates, the Chamber has been front and center in terms of recreation and the political restructuring of the Rockaway peninsula. They are even making attempts to try and bridge the gap between the affluent and disadvantaged by expanding events into the eastern sector of Rockaway. Although they have met with some opposition, at both ends, they have stated that this will be a major focus for the Chamber. All of these things will only help to make Rockaway a true community once again, and this will be good for both residents and businesses.
