The Inner Voice by Marilyn Gelfand

An expression that we often hear is "Go with the flow." It’s great to put things in motion, but then we must let go of outcomes. Along the way, things change and flexibility becomes of paramount importance.

If we view life as a flowing river, it makes sense to go around the rocks rather than smack into them. We can allow ourselves to be carried in the river when it’s flowing or paddle when it’s still. There are times for hard work, and there are times for patience.

Patience often gives us freedom from our expectations.
