Anybody who looks back at past Issues of The Wave as we do will quickly understand that the mosquito problem in Rockaway is not new. Even a quick perusal will show that the problem goes back fifty years or more. While the problem is an old one, however, we do need to mix both new and old solutions to make outdoor life on the peninsula possible for many of those who live nearby Jamaica Bay. That includes the use of the newly-developed "mosquito magnets" that were used for the first time last summer season.
