Dear Editor;

Dear Editor;

This letter is a plea to local business people to create something that is
constructive for kids to do.

So many kids are doing drugs and drinking and the reason is because there is nothing else to do. Rockaway has no bowling alley, no movie theater, no open gyms at night, no lights on the basketball courts.

I think that instead of just complaining about things people should try to find a solution. Maybe a place like Cyberzone can bring in boxing or something for kids to do; maybe Saint Francis can open up the gym at night: maybe the old Funtime can be turned into a pool hall; maybe some local tradesmen can pay kids a few dollars to give them a hand and learn the trade. So instead of protesting in front of a store because you don't like
the videos it sells why don't you work on something for the kids? Thank you and hopefully you can take some of this into consideration.
