Clean Bus Lines

Clean Bus Lines

Dear Editor;

I am a driver for Green Bus Lines, and after reading what your paper said about our service I just could not help but write to you.

You people sit in your little office and do not realize what we must endure each day. You say our buses are dirty—well they do not leave the garage that way. It is all of your rockaway residents who make the buses
dirty, not Green Line.

You also commented that we are the most dangerous routes—well you should know the facts before you write about them. I just feel that if you want better service you should show some consideration towards all the drivers.

I know that it is just a lot easier for you people to rip into us but the facts stand that we do our job the best it can be done. We have to deal with people trying to beat us for a dollar fifty and always looking for a free ride and these are the people who are complaining. Every Green Line Bus is cleaned every night and they all leave the garage clean so as far as that issue goes your community makes the buses dirty not the bus company.

It is really funny to read your articles because the facts are always wrong. When you know what you’re talking about then you should write. Don’t assume because it makes you look very stupid to people who know the facts and then read your paper.

I hope that this letter will help you better understand all that we go through on a daily basis. Maybe your editor should ride a bus all day to see what the facts are.
