Peninsula Dart League: Catholic Club Sinner Boys
Contributed by Chris Knott

Week 2 of the Spring Dart League saw both Catholic Club teams travel across the bridge to Grassy's in Broad Channel.

In Division 1, Hill Billy Jim made his spring debut, after missing the first week due to an undisclosed illness.  The Choir Boys knew they had their hands full against the defending champions from Grassy's.  Stray Dog, who has been on fire of late, started off the night with a win in the first single's cricket game.  But the Choir Boys momentum was stopped by consecutive losses by B-Mac and Tommy Dice.  However, Cut throat Cam stopped the bleeding with a huge win in the final cricket game.  Hill Billy Jim, making his spring debut was teamed up with someone, who will remain nameless at his request (due to his poor play), lost the first 501 game.  The second 501 game, saw Cut Throat and Stray Doggie Dog stop the bleeding once again, with a win in the second 501 game.  After this game, the floodgates opened and swept away the Choir Boys.

In the 401 games, we saw Big Guy Bri, the nameless wonder, Tommy Dice, and Marty Mart lose consecutive games.  B-Mac and Tommy Dice looked to change the momentum by following those 4 losses, with a win in double's cricket, and did. But the two hottest players on the team, Cut- throat and Stray Dog could not pull out a victory in the second cricket.

With the 10 points already scored by Grassy's the outcome was already decided, but the Choir Boys wanted to save face and win the 601.  They sent Hill Billy Jim, Tommy Dice, and Stray Dog out, but they lost a heartbreaker.  The final score was 13-6.

All Star points: Cut Throat Cam had 2 3 c's, Stray Dog had an R 6, and Tommy Dice had a ton.

In Division 3, the Sinners took on Grassy's Fall Out.  Erik "E Z E" started off single's cricket with a win, running his unbeaten streak to 4 games. Right Said Fred followed that win with a win, also running his unbeaten streak to 4 games.  Mikey "Sweet 16" squeaked out a win in the third single cricket game, running his unbeaten streak to 3 games.  The momentum was stopped when Dirty D, the Founder of the Sinners, lost in the final cricket game.  In 501, Don Zimmer teamed up with the 2 time MVP, and won their match.  This win saw E Z E's unbeaten streak go to 5 games, and Zimmer's unbeaten streak to 4 games.  Sweet 16, who also had an unbeaten streak going, was made the sacrificial lamb and was teamed up with Dirty D.  Neither one of them were on the top of their game, and it showed as they got whooped.  In 401 action, Right Said Fred and Don Zimmer ran their unbeaten streaks to 5 games each.  T-Bone lost a close 401 game, but her practice for the double 1, would come up huge in the end.  Dirty D, breaking out, won a good match in the final 401 game.  Right Said Fred and E Z E were teamed up in the first double cricket game to see if they could continue their winning ways, and they did, even though Right Said Fred was useless. E Z E had to carry him once again.  Sweet 16, and Mr. Zimmer won the second match as well.  T-Bone, Dirty D, and Don Zimmer were up for a battle in 601, but with T-Bone stepping up, she hit the double 1 on her first dart to end the game.  (All of the practice in her 401 games finally paid off)

The only All Star points for the night were Don Zimmer's (AKA Big Poppa Stump) ton and Timmy Fox from Grassy's also had a ton.

Evening Notes:

KJ "Bling Bling" was a no show, due to a cruise in the tropics. However, his bad luck followed him down there, as he will not be able to see Puerto Rico, due to a faulty propeller made in Brazil.  Mikey "Sweet 16"'s winning streak came to an abrupt end because he was teamed up with Mr. Dirty D Mush.  Sorry Mike.  Does anyone know the real reason why salmon swim upstream?  If not, please contact B-Mac.  Big Guy Bri was digging the love songs and the 80's theme all night long.  Good Luck to Dirty D on his cruise, and we all hope he makes it back in one piece, or at least gets a piece.  Is it true that the Choir Boys offered free agent Marty Kelleher, formerly of Grassy's, a free agent contract?  Rumor has it, they offered a free car pass, a free beach pass, and a bim on each side in the Sugar Bowl.  Dirty Harry Callahan was a no show for the second straight week.

Rumor has it that he wants to renegotiate his contract due to the addition of Right Said Fred. After 2 week's, 3 Sinners are still undefeated. That's the Bottom Line because Don Zimmer Said So.  Finally, she was not there.
