Our community suffered another great loss last week. Rabbi Joe Weiss of West End Temple, a spiritual and community leader in Rockaway for more than 50 years, passed away. Many will miss Rabbi Weiss, known for being a gentle man who offered words of wisdom and support to many in our community. The Wave and the entire Rockaways extend sympathies to the family. More ... He was an inspirational spiritual leader and has served with distinction as the rabbi at the West End Temple for over 50 years. He made an amazing difference in everyone's life that he touched.
