Keeping A Dream Alive


Senator Malcolm Smith joined with the family of the late Thomas Johnson Jr., a star football player and talented student at Christ The King High School, who was killed outside of the Edgemere Houses on January 10, 2001. Smith announced the creation of the "Thomas Kareem Johnson Jr. Foundation," which will honor Thomas' life dream to help his family buy a house and move from Edgemere. Donations can be made in the name of the foundation and mailed to: Jesus Family Ministries, c/o Thomas Kareem Johnson Jr. Foundation, P.O. Box 920-516, Arverne, NY 11692.
