Violence is Deep Rooted

Violence is Deep Rooted Dear Editor;

Dear Editor;

This letter is in response to your editorial, "Where's The Respect For Life?"

First and foremost, the problems that the so-called Black community faces are deeply rooted in this land we call America. I'm not writing to give an explanation as to why these things happen but there is some truth to it. Violence and guns is as American as watching the Super Bowl, movies and t.v.; where most people get their watered down information.

America's new president had relatives on the Mayflower who brought with them violence and guns.  America can police the world but she can't get rid of violence and drugs in her own country. America's solution is isolation, separation and restriction. The so-called Black community exists under the above and under these conditions. Violence, drugs and guns destroy life. The churches and police try to stop the violence and failed because it has been going on for so long in America.

Finally, if we look at the two individuals involved we will see that one was building his life and the other was destroying his.
