Thirty-eight year old Christopher M. O’Brien of 21 Beach 213 street, Rockaway Point, was reported missing on Saturday, December 30 and police have yet to track him down.

O’Brien suffers from bipolar manic psychosis and, according to authorities, he has turned up missing before.

Although police have had several calls regarding O’Brien, no new clues have turned up as The Wave went to press this week. A an initial canvas of hospitals and local churches were negative. A search of the area around O’Brien’s home provided police with no new information about the missing man.

The detectives of the 100 Precinct are once again this week reaching out to the community in the hopes that someone may have seen O’Brien, or are aware of his whereabouts.

There is a possibility that O’Brien’s destination was Brooklyn.

He is described by police as a white male, age 38, 6’ 1", approximately 200 pounds with light skin, a muscular build, blue eyes and a four inch scar on the left side of his face. When last seen O’Brien was wearing a gray sweater and blue jeans with white sneakers.

Anyone with information about O’Brien is encouraged to call Detective Rice at the 100 Precinct Detective Squad at 718-318-4228.
