Three weeks or more after the election and we still don’t have a President or an end to the legal battles. Crybaby Gore continues and continues and....Is it good for the country? What has changed? Three or four counts and recounts and he has lost them all!

Then we had the Supreme Court of Florida intervene, and the rewriting of the law adopted by the state legislature. Gore still lost!

Now we have the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on the hand counts and the legality of the Florida Supreme Court’s ruling.

I’ve never seen such hypocrisy. You conduct an election based on certain laws and rules and then when you lose you try to change the rules...after the fact!

Gore and the liberal’s mantra has always been "every vote must be counted." However, they pushed to throw out more than 1500 clearly marked military ballots and the recount, of course, was limited to heavily Democratic precincts in Florida.

At any rate, here we all are. Indisputably, the nation was split – the popular vote, realistically, is split down the middle, as is Congress. But people have tired of all the legal maneuvers and machinations. Finality is wanted and needed.

If need be, the Florida legislature will do their legally mandated duty and pick their electors. But, it shouldn’t have to get to that point.

But I think we are all seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. The liberals’ days are numbered! As I said in earlier columns, a Bush Presidency should produce two important developments – an end to partial birth abortion and vouchers for non-public schools. If these promises materialize it will all have been worth it!

I believe in counting every vote. Every vote means all votes, not in selected areas, not discarding our military ballots.

These folks think nothing of playing Houdini – figuring out who someone voted for, as they throw out perfectly clear legible military ballots on abstract technicalities. Hypocrisy simply isn’t enough to describe their actions.

God bless and save America!
