Just to clear up some confusion – If a recycling day falls out on a holiday, you do not place the recyclables out the next day. You have to wait to the next recycling day as authorized by the Department of Sanitation. If you leave your garbage out on the wrong day, there is a strong possibility that you’ll be fined.
