I believe that Vice President Al Gore, who received the most votes in the presidential election of our country, deserves the right and should demand that all the votes in the three counties of Florida that were uncounted, be counted. I hope the courts agree.
Had all the votes been counted in Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Nassau Counties, Mr. Gore and not Mr. Bush would have won in Florida.
Justice and democracy demand that all the votes of the people be counted. If they are not counted, then George Bush, who came in second in the nationwide vote and fought to stop a complete count in Florida, will be in the opinion of many Americans, including myself, the illegitimate President of the United States for the next four years.
