Deidre Williams, 17, of Brooklyn, and three passengers in her 1992 Toyota minivan were rushed to Peninsula Hospital Center at 11:30 p.m. Friday night, November 17, after she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree head-on near the corner of Beach 145 street and Rockaway Beach boulevard.
According to police, Williams had made a right hand turn from Beach 145 street onto Rockaway Beach boulevard traveling eastbound on the boulevard when she mistakenly hit the car’s accelerator instead of the break, losing control of the vehicle.
