Dear Editor;

I wish to highly recommend Rockaway Park Physical Therapy. It is a pleasure to find a shop or service provider that exceeds my expectations for professional service within our local community.

Requiring therapy to alleviate continuing pain that I was experiencing after a shoulder operation, I made visits to several therapy providers off the peninsula all but RPPT, which is on the peninsula. I have been involved in sports for many years and believed that surely the larger and more commercial therapy providers would far outshine anything that Rockaway had to offer.

My visits showed just how wrong I was. None offered the level of personal and professional care of RPPT. My three months therapy bore out these first impressions. My appointments always maintained punctually, and the therapy sessions were controlled so that there was little waiting between treatments. The office staff members who greet you at the door and the assistant therapists who oversee your sessions create a competent and friendly atmosphere that assures you that you will get better with their care.

I must, however, acknowledge particularly the contribution of Timothy Rohrs, the managing director and my personal therapist. Simply, without his personal concern I do not believe that my rehabilitation would have been nearly so successful. Instead of following a set prescribed program for shoulder injuries, Tim regularly measured by progress and changed my stretching routine and his own physical manipulation of my shoulder to insure that continued progress would be accomplished as soon as possible and with a minimum discomfort.

For those seeking therapy, you need to look no further than RPPT, which is located on the old Jerry Lewis Cinema site at Beach 103 street and Rockaway Beach boulevard.
