All-Hands Blaze In Arverne


A two-story framed home located at 69-55 Hillmeyer was the scene of a “All-Hands” Friday, November 2. The first alarm was logged in at 12:34 p.m. Arriving on the scene as the first due fire companies were Engine 265 and Ladder Company 121 out of the Beach  59 street in Arverne, who found the structure to be fully involved with fire and smoke. A second alarm went out at 12:34 p.m. and a total of 25 companies responded with 106 firefighters from as far as Brooklyn and Howard Beach. There were no injuries,. The cause of the fire was ------The fire was not deemed to be suspicious. (JOAN WARD GEORGE)
