Silva Arrested
‘Most Wanted’ Works

James Silva found himself face to face with his picture in last week’s "Most Wanted" fugitives from justice column and made arrangements with an attorney to turn himself in to detectives at the 100 Precinct.

Silva, a 23 year old white male, of 14-16 Cross Bay boulevard, Broad Channel, was being sought in connection with a robbery that occurred on August 23, 2000 within the confines of the 100 Precinct.

Silva officially turned himself in on Tuesday, September 19 at 8:50 p.m. and was placed under arrest by Detective David E. Kinard. On September 20 Silva was picked out of a line up and has since been charged with two counts of robbery in the second degree.

The Wave and its "Most Wanted" column is being credited by police for Silva’s apprehension. During its more than three year history the "Most Wanted" column has brought more than 80 criminals to justice.
