RMAC Fall Festival This Weekend
Rockaway Music and Arts Council will celebrate its 17th Annual Fall Festival this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24, at the Riis Park Bathhouse. Events begin on both days at 11 a.m. and conclude at 6 p.m.
Whether it’s a vendor selling crafts, jewelry, furniture, herbs/spices, artwork, or gift items, there is something for everyone at the RMAC Fall Festival. This year the festival offers vendors that have come from as far away as Minnesota and Florida.
The Belle Harbor Garden Club will have a floral exhibit for the viewing pleasure of those who attend this year’s festival.
Don’t forget the kids! Be sure to stop by the Rockaway Artists Alliance canvas, which will be on the fence in front of the bathhouse. Geoff Rawling, president of the RAA, will lead children of all ages in expressing their artistic talents. And when they’re done painting, the kids could enjoy a pony ride, petting zoo and inline skating (available at the RMAC table for a nominal fee). Ronald McDonald will be visiting the festival on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m., saying hi to those around and putting on a performance to remember.
Musical entertainment will be featured throughout both days .
If it’s shopping for the holidays, a day out with the kids, or just a few hours in the sun, the RMAC Fall Festival is the place to be this weekend!
