Dot On Roxbury

The annual block party at St. Genevieve’s church was held on September 16, 2000 after the 5 o’clock mass in front of Father Hession Hall.

A round of applause to Chairman Joe Ferrandino, his co-chairman Joe Santul, all the great volunteer chefs for the delicious food, Mary Ferrandino and June Celentano in charge of reservations and all the ladies for their gracious help. Kathy Duemig for the popcorn and bags of candy for the children and "Backstreet" for the delightful music, Gerda Callahan was the lucky winner of the 50/50 and Dorothy Farrell won the wagon. Everyone enjoyed the affair, it was very well attended and a great way to end the summer season of the year 2000.

The Rockaway Point Catholic Club had another century club dinner on Saturday, September 16, 2000. John Gavin was the chairman. Frannie Jamin of Jamco catered the delicious dinner. Trish Walsh and Maryann Keim were the lovely waitresses. Pat and Jim Adams were great bartenders and the good music for dancing was played by the band Grandmother’s Grandsons. More happy winners and another delightful affair.

Love ya Dot.
