Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to a new school year. Let me begin by inviting you to the school. We invite and welcome your participation.

Please work with us to ensure that your child is prepared for school every day. This preparation includes appropriate notebooks, textbooks, attire, attitude, hygiene, nutrition, and discipline. Your assistance will help us to give your child a sound education.

Your child is never too "old" to share what is happening in school. I recommend that you get to know your child’s teachers and guidance counselor. Make sure your child has met with the counselor. If your child is in his or her second year or later, you should have a copy of their last transcript. Check it for accuracy. They should report any discrepancies to the counselor immediately.

Visit our school web sites for updates (www.beachchannel.net). Review our student handbook and school discipline code. Rules and regulations must be followed.

We are planning an exciting year for your child. Please share the experiences with us. I cannot over-emphasize the importance of your involvement. Make it a point to show up for open school evening and afternoon on October 26 and 27, respectively. Please attend our monthly PTA meetings-see parent newsletter for dates and times.

Our PTA Executive Board has been active. They have tried at every turn to get parents involved. They need parents and to join various committees to support school activities.

We have the professional expertise, state-of-the-art technology and the will to make Beach Channel High School the pre-eminent place for learning. Join the team!
