Dot on Roxbury by Dotty Taphouse

Tara Anne Ris and Henry John Braun were united in the sacrament of matrimony on September 9, 2000 by celebrant Father John Cullinane in St. Genevieve’s church in Roxbury.

Samantha Fitzgerald was the matron of honor and the best man was Steven Priola. The bridesmaids were Patricia McGoorty, Tara Ellen Ris and Veronica Towey. The groomsmen were Joseph McGoorty, Cliff Ris, and Walter Durylea. The bridal assistant was Carol Ann Knowles. Theresa Panicala was the vocalist and the organist was Rick Meditz. The parents of the bride, Tara Ann, are Clifford and Maureen Ris, and Viola Ris is her grandmother. The bride was gorgeous and the entire wedding party beautiful. A gala wedding reception was held at Sand Castle in Franklin Square and the new Mr. and Mrs. Henry Braun will honeymoon on a two week Mediterranean cruise.

The Catholic Club of Roxbury held their annual steak party on Saturday, September 9 with great food, refreshments and live music for dancing. Joannie Wolf was in charge of reservations and the new members were in charge of steaks and delicious food.

Happy Birthday Dorothy Farrell—9/20. Happy first birthday Sarah Mae Livingston—9/28. Happy fifth anniversary to Ann-Marie and Peter Geis—9/15 and Doreen and Jim Serrian on their fourth wedding anniversary—9/28.

Love Ya Dot.
