B.C.A.C Shamrock Opening Day
Dedication To "Uncle" John Monahan
The B.C.A.C Shamrock 2000 football program will kick off the weekend of Sept 8.
Friday night September 8, the Shamrocks will host picture night followed by this years season dedication to one of its dearest members. John Monahan, who passed away a few years ago, will be remembered this season as we dedicate this 2000 season in John's memory.
John was a founding father of the B.C.A.C. and continued to give countless years of his time to the children of Broad Channel and the Rockaway’s. Uncle John, whom he was known to by many, was an
avid football fan as well as a Softball coach for many years. John will be
represented by his daughter Pat and members of the entire Monahan family. John's daughter Pat will be presented with a plaque dedicating this season to the memory of her father.
Following the ceremony the players along with the cheerleaders will enjoy the annual pep rally. Food and refreshments will be available. The members of the Broad Channel Athletic club invite all to this
The Shamrock Football program will kick off Saturday night with the nine and 10 year old midgets verses West Bablyon at 6p.m. followed by the 13 and 14 year old seniors at 8 p.m. verses Lindenhurst. On Sunday, the five and six year old peanuts will
kick off at 11 a.m. verses Farmingdale followed by the seven and eight year old pee-wees at 1p.m.
Verses Seaford Colts, come out and enjoy the weekend as the Shamrock program kicks off the 2000 season.
