Home Is Rockaway

Good morning Rockaway Park.
I'm writing from Orlando, Fl. I moved here from Rockaway Park two years ago. I, like many young wives and mothers was looking for a perfect haven to raise my children. Having been born and raised in Rockaway I always felt that there had to be someplace (better, safer, quieter) to call home.

Since transplanting to a new city, (granted it's warmer in the winter), I've come to realize that I didn't appreciate the home I did have in the Rockaway’s. The same old gripes (everyone knows everyone elses business) are things that I now miss! Such as a sense of community, knowing your neighbor and yes "who to avoid." It is a cold world out here and I will teach my children that there truly is no place like home.
